Set on a chair, the cushion adds 2.4" to 3.1" of padding and a block of dark grey corduroy to a plain wood or painted seat. The cover is dark grey corduroy, a fabric with fine raised ribs that give the surface a soft, matte texture up close. A stitched seam runs around the edge of the cushion and gives the round shape a defined side, as the close photo shows.
