This sconce is a white glass globe on a base of light wood. The globe glows when the light is on, and the wood keeps it warm and plain against the wall. Unlit, the sconce shows its two materials plainly: a white glass globe and a light wood base. By day it reads as a small piece of wood and glass on the wall. This is a hardwired light: no plug and no cord on the wall. It is connected to the electrical supply when it is installed, a job normally done by an electrician.
